Welcome any comments or any improvements. You can email to me to say what you want to change and attach the change result source code file. I will merge and check in the code and share in google code.
If anyone who want contribute on this driver, it is welcomed and I will update the google code project to make sure you get the check-in permission.

I'm having kernel panics with a PCIe x1 Intel Gigabit CT desktop Adapter.
Chip device ID is 10D3,8086
Number on Chip is 82574L
If its workable to get the driver running this card, we'd finally have a PCIe NIC that works...

Check the /var/log/system.log
find sth like

configure tx tdlen->4096.
configure rx rdlen->4096.
It presents the ethernet card is recognized and drived.
ifconfig to see your network config
or check from the System Preferences.

Download kext from http://www.imconverter.com/intel82566mm/Intel82566MM.kext.tar.gz and copy to directory where code. Again compile.
This kext does not work in virtual machine (Parallels, VMWare, VirtualBox) with Bridge network setting in guest OS.

is there a version for snow Leopard 64 bit ?
I've created an xcode project and compiled the code for Snow Leopard.
I had to make some changes, as jumps over certain code is not allowed anymore in xcode 3.2.
Once I finish testing, I'll send the code to Guijin Ding
