Big shot, as a starting point ! My best complimets. Dell Optiplex 755 built-in 82566 came alive and seems to work well, except for some flaws.
1) whenever a VPN PPTP connection is initiated, the network stops working. When PPTP tunnel is deactivated, the network runs again. The same settings over a 3com board work flawlessly with Eth AND PPTP.
2) there are still some uncertainties in connection status detection. The connection goes up, but misses correct info for connected wire, DHCP release and so on. Guess it needs a little work on the status detection.
Since the power management is not support in the driver, so that your laptop can not recover the network from sleep.
The next week I will be in business trival to Sydney. If getting any spare time I will try to implement the PM support in the driver.
For DHCP, so far I am not sure how to fix it. The only one thing that I am sure there is something need to do to support DHCP smoothly., Hope it is the next step after supporting PM.
Hope you can solve the issue of the AD1984 Audio Driver problem on ThinkPad T/R/X 61 serials..(The current version which provided by Tubor can only drive the internal speaker...)

I'm a native MS OS user from early DOS versions to Vista. At this weekend, Sat. night, I installed Leopard on my newly-bought Dell OptiPlex 755. Being a newbee of Mac OS, I cannot have my PC completely drived, as "Intel(R) 82566DM Gigabit Network Connection" and "ATI Radeon HD 2400 PRO (256 MB)" don't work on it.
Anyway, minutes ago, the network took off with THIS KEXT. Thanks again for the great job you've done!

I tested Intel82566MM.kext on my Lenovo T61. It works, but VMware Fusion can't access the network anymore. I'm back to using the MacBook Air USB Ethernet dongle.
I had it work on IBM Lenovo Thinkpad R61i-A54, with iATKOS v5i (10.5.5) but it's very slow, lots of loss packet and timeout pinging to local network. Logs doesnt show anything, work fine.

Here the applescript for setting a mac adress, because mac adress shows me 00:00:00:00:00:00. "do shell script "sudo ifconfig en7 lladdr 00:16:d3:2f:72:59" password "XXXrootpassXXX" with administrator privileges". LAN works, but no timemaschine. Please help too find a solution for this shit.

I found the solution!
If you get this dependency error, you've to edit the Info.plist to match the right version of libraries.
That is: look your version with "kextstat" and change it in Info.plist under section "OSBundleLibraries".
Do this for ALL libraries mentioned there!
