Eventually, it works. This message coming from my Safari. And source code and kext binary still in there -- http://www.tootoosoft.com/intel82566mm/Intel82566MM.tar.gz
There are still some features need to be added (Power manager, VLAN support, checksum offloading, TCP segments support). But those are not critical.

Guess what? I'm posting this comment form OSX (using your driver :D). I just can't belive it, it really works :).
If you don't mind, I'll pots your link to the topics seeking for this driver. Many many many thx for your work :)
I'm using Intel 82566 DC-2. I try to add my device id to your info.plist (0x294c8086). I load your kext using terminal and I got the message "kextload: cannot resolve dependencies for kernel extension /System/Library/Extensions/Intel82566MM.kext
error loading extension /System/Library/Extensions/Intel82566MM.kext"
Please help me!!!
Thanksss
I have an Intel 82566MC.
I tried to change the card id, but with no luck.
Is there any hope for us with the MC card?
So far, I only test it on my T61p and only for Intel82566MM.
I believe it is not a big deal to support other e1000e ethernet cards based on this code. But I have no the ethernet card/chip in to test, so maybe I can not give you a satisfied answer.
to spuid,
pls check your OSX is 10.5.2 or higher?
check your Intel82566MM.kext has the correct ownership? (should be root:wheel)
check in the Intel82566MM.kext/ directory has the driver image or not?
NOTICE, I have never test this driver on 82566 DC-2. Maybe everything is passed and the driver still can not work on you system. I am sorry.
Hey, this driver works. Thanks for all the hard work. Is there a place I can donate?
@cupid
I was having the same issue until I upgrade to 10.5.3
Hi, I'm using 10.5.2 kernel, and when trying to load kext, I get following error (same as cupid):
cannot resolve dependencies for kernel extension /System/Library/Extensions/Intel82566MM.kext
Permissions are correct, and files are there, along with Info.plist file which contains ID of net card and driver itself in MacOS subdir.
Even tried to recompile driver, but still get same error.
Help? :)
@anonymous
upgrade to 10.5.3
To sam:
I have added a donation button on blog. Thanks for your inspiration.
(and sorry for spelling error "cpuid" to "spuid")
Guijin
Updated to 10.5.4.
Oh!! It's working now with your kext..Amazing..(Intel 82566 DC-2)
Thanks guijin for this lovely kext..
I think that it should work with other 82566 series too.
Thanks again!!!
I will post a new package that integrated all kinds of E1000E ethernet chips.
To help man to ignore the step of hacking the Info.plist file.
Thank you so much for making this project true. I am an owner of a Lenovo T61p and the network card was one of my main issues.
I hope someone will get the 570M graphics card work (CI/QE) too , which is my last big issue.
Thanks again.
Hi man does this one support 82566MC on thinkpads, This is the only thing stopping me now from completely going mac
Thanks in advance
Thanks for all of your hard work in this matter. I just wanted to let you know that your link is incorrect. Your are missing the .kext .
Thanks for the driver!
Have you noticed if it uses a few too many CPU cycles then necessary?
Also, are you planning on working on PM?
it works but slow traffic, very very slow, lots of lost packets.., imagine ping-ing 100 times to router get 60% loss, maybe unperfect TCP fragmentation?
Hey. I don't normally leave comments, but I just wanted to say thanks for the great information. I have a blog too, though
I don't write as good as you do, but if you want to check it out here it is. Thanks again and have a great day!
